This Man Pin is part of the African Collection, our first collection. 200 have been made, four different styles, four different woods, but each one's unique.
The pins in this collection are made from African hardwoods; Bubinga, Padauk, Iroko, Ovangkol. The wood type is written on the front of the card and the back has information about your wood e.g how tall the tree, how hard the wood....top trump your friends!
To be worn on your lapel, your kilt, your jumper, or anywhere else you want to stick it. Hand made and finished from sustainably sourced hardwoods and hand dyed resins. As wood is a natural material the colour may change over time and be slightly different from how you see it on your screen.
Man Pins are a collaboration between jeweller Islay Spalding and wood worker Louise Forbes. A shared workshop, love of wood, clean lines and letter pressed greyboard led to the invention of the Man Pin. Collections are limited with edition numbers and wood types hand written onto the backing cards.
